360 DAY PAC-LEE KICK CHALLENGE

I have a question for you…

What do you get when you mix the greatest southpaw fighter of all time with the most influential martial artist that ever lived?

Answer?

PURE INSPIRATION!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I’ve been a boxing fan since before I was glove height. For as long as I can remember, I’ve been inspired by the dedication and passion of boxers, and by far one of the greatest and most inspiring I’ve ever followed is Manny Pacquiao.

Regarded by many boxing historians as one of the greatest professional boxers of all time, Mr Pacquiao is a multitalented hero with an incredible list of accomplishments behind his name. Filipino by birth, Mr Pacquiao is also currently serving as a senator of the Philippines, and beyond boxing, he has participated in professional basketball, thriving business ventures, TV hosting, acting and music recording, and more.

I follow Mr Pacquiao religiously on social media and find his posts and comments to be a cut above the rest. He communicates with humility and respect and I find his content to be uplifting and encouraging.

A particular post he made on the 28th of June 2019, in which he quoted Bruce Lee, was no exception:

PG Paradigm - The Results Doctor - International Speaker, Author, Strategist

When I saw this, I literally developed goosebumps ALL OVER!!! I just KNEW it was going to have a profound effect on my life…

Part of the philosophy that I teach is that, as adults, we learn and change in one of two ways: we’re either forced to do so by outside circumstances, like loss or illness, or through repetition. Obviously, being forced to do something is not ideal, so learning and changing through dedication, commitment and repetition is, in my opinion, the option to chose.

The very theory behind the quote from Bruce Lee, that one should “fear not the man who has practised 10,000 kicks once, but… fear the man who has practised one kick 10,000 times”, is testimony to that – great results come about with dedicated, consistent repetition.

Then and there I decided to take it to heart and accept it as a CHALLENGE, and to undertake this challenge to prove to myself, and all of you, that my philosophy works. You really CAN make any change you want if you plant the thought in your mind and nurture it with repetition.

After a bit of calculating, I gathered that to practise one kick 10,000 times, I would have to do it 27,39 times a day for one whole year.

So… that’s what I’m going to do!!!

My challenge is thus… I plan to practice one kick 28 times a day for 360 days – a whole year with a few days off for those just-in-case situations!

Join me on this exciting journey as I prove myself, Mr Pacquiao and Mr Lee RIGHT, and see how I can bring about positive change in my life by planting a seed and nourishing it with dedicated repetition.

HERE WE GO!!!!
